Working at heights
As per the regulation, employers who require their staff to use any fall protection processes must:
• Ensure staff complete an approved working at heights training program.
• Ensure staff training is valid and has not expired.
• Maintain an up-to-date training record.
PROGRAM
Rights and responsibilities related to working at heights under the
French & OSHA (U.S) regulation and or any local regulation.
• General hazard recognition for working at heights.
• Hierarchy of controls.
• Safety procedures for warning methods and physical barriers.
• Development of personal fall protection equipment: Safety procedure for using a full body harness.
• Fall factors & anchor points.
• Work positioning systems, work access and platforms, rescue planning
• Use of a suspension Trauma protection system
• Practise on site
AIM
Participants will receive thorough training in working safely at heights by selecting and setting up
the proper anchor points, using the relevant fall arrest system and their related connectors.
